This will be extremely helpful when we start breaking down the insect portion even more and start discussing taxonomy. Thank you guys for what you do!

  • Funfact: Normally when you try to identify an insect, you dont look at the mouth part AT ALL because the mouthparts are a phylogenetic feature (there are green apples but not everything that is green is an apple). Instead you look at how the body is structured into segments, how the antennae are formed, if it has wings and how many legs. Most family species you can tell appart by how many tarsal segments (their foot structure) they have at which leg.
