5.0 rating based on 192 ratings

In 2009, Bray Wyatt began his journey in WWE’s developmental territory, FCW, which later evolved into the present-day NXT. He initially wrestled under the names Alex Rotundo and Duke Rotundo, teamed up with his brother Bo Rotundo. Recently, Bray Wyatt spoke with the Austin Chronicle to promote the upcoming Smackdown LIVE and discussed why he wanted to become a pro-wrestler.

With fear established in the hearts of those who stood in his way, Bray Wyatt started working his way through the list of people he sought revenge on. His first target was Seth Rollins, the current Universal Champion. During the feud, Jason Baker revealed that each character Fireflies were a pet name the late Bray Wyatt gave his fans, and now they will be following his brother instead. Uncle Howdy and his group, The Wyatt Sicks, made their shocking debut to close Raw on.

The Firefly Funhouse segments have quickly become an incredibly popular part of his character and everything he does. It is often where Bray plants the seeds for storylines and puts in a lot of work in. The biggest question asked about the Firefly Fun House is where it is located and what it represents.

In the Firefly Fun House match against John Cena at WWE’s WrestleMania 36 event, Ted DiBiase revealed that Bray Wyatt was supposed to return to WWE TV and host a new show program in September. The lights of cell phones lit the blackened arena for his entrance, and after two months of teases, WWE intended to honor Wyatt’s vision of leading a faction with wrestlers portraying real versions of his Firefly Fun House.

Was Firefly Funhouse Designed To Protect Bray Wyatt?

Bray Wyatt's Firefly Funhouse gained immense popularity among fans, presenting itself as a safe haven for Wyatt's mind, shielding him from external horrors. Despite claiming the Fiend was meant to protect his fans, this was merely a facade; its true purpose was to safeguard Bray Wyatt himself. The narrative suggests that Finn Balor would be the first target of vengeance. Imagery from recent episodes hints at an abandoned mental facility, implying that the real Bray Wyatt might be trapped within this asylum-like environment.

Jason Baker, pivotal in crafting the Fiend's mask and involved with the Funhouse segments, revealed how these characters serve to manipulate and influence children, cloaking darker messages in a playful guise. Each iteration of the Firefly Funhouse transitioned along with Wyatt's journey, including shifts in color and themes as the story moved to SmackDown. Baker noted Bray’s aversion to having Funhouse characters come to life, emphasizing that the Funhouse represents a compartmentalized mental safe space.

Contrary to WWE's vision, Wyatt had distinct ideas for the Funhouse, leaning towards a creepier ambiance that diverged from the traditional Wyatt Family narratives. A notable turn occurred in a recent segment where Wyatt unveiled a new mask, indicating a potential reboot of his character. The documentary "Bray Wyatt: Becoming Immortal" further enriches the insight into Wyatt's creative process, exploring his multifaceted portrayal and the underlying madness within the Firefly Funhouse concept.

Why Did Alexa Turn On The Fiend

Why Did Alexa Turn On The Fiend?

Alexa Bliss developed an obsession with The Fiend after an incident where her best friend Nikki Cross shoved her to the ground post a match loss to Bayley. Bliss revealed that this fallout led to her collaboration with The Fiend, allowing her to evolve her character on screen. While she relishes the opportunity to perform and portray diverse roles, Bliss inadvertently caused The Fiend's loss to Randy Orton by distracting him during the match with unsettling theatrics. The transformation of Bliss's character has been gradual, suggesting a full shift is on the horizon.

In the latest WWE Raw episode, Bliss discussed her betrayal of The Fiend at WrestleMania 37, where she helped Orton secure victory by diverting The Fiend's attention. This turn of events shocked the audience since Bliss and The Fiend had been united leading up to the event. The Fiend, initially expected to win, was challenged by personal struggles that impacted his performance. After being burned alive by Orton in a previous match, Bliss vowed revenge on Orton but soon realized her newfound power could exist independently of The Fiend.

The narrative implies that Sister Abigail, the source of The Fiend's strength, now resides within Bliss, thus diminishing The Fiend's powers. As Bliss executes moves reminiscent of The Fiend, a full allegiance is likely forming, evidenced by her recent actions against Nikki Cross. The wrestling world is captivated by her storyline, as it intertwines themes of empowerment and transformation driven by loss. This ongoing evolution hints at the complexities within Bliss's duality as she transitions deeper into her new persona.

Why Did WWE Fire Bray?

Bray Wyatt's unexpected WWE release in July 2021 remains a shock to fans and wrestling insiders alike. Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer Live indicated that Wyatt had "an issue with being cleared" to compete, contributing to his departure. Dave Meltzer, discussing Wyatt's situation on Wrestling Observer Radio, provided new insights, emphasizing that Wyatt, a former WWE and Universal Champion, was among the most notable talent cuts of 2021.

Fans have speculated that recent White Rabbit clues are connected to Wyatt's alter ego, The Fiend, suggesting a potential return. Follow-up reports reveal that WWE's dissatisfaction with Wyatt's match at the Royal Rumble further complicated his standing with the company, alongside requests to revitalize his character. Additionally, he faced challenges with communication and availability, reportedly being "hard to find when needed."

The fallout of the pandemic was personally challenging for Wyatt, as he struggled with the release of family members from WWE. Despite being a top merchandise seller and generating significant revenue, his release seemed rooted in personal disagreements within the company rather than his popularity or talent.

Vince McMahon, known for making tough decisions regarding talent, apparently let Wyatt go due to these underlying health and cooperation issues. Interestingly, he returned to WWE in October 2022, presenting a new character inspired by his "real-life" persona, though he gradually evolved it thereafter. The complexity of Wyatt’s situation paints a picture of an artist at odds with corporate expectations and personal challenges.

Why Did Alexa Start Whispering

Why Did Alexa Start Whispering?

Whisper mode for Alexa was introduced by Amazon in 2018 to enhance the naturalness and intuitiveness of the voice assistant’s responses. Despite starting to use Alexa only last year, many users remain unaware of this feature. Whisper mode allows users to speak to Alexa in a quiet voice, prompting her to reply in a similar tone, which can be helpful for keeping noise levels down in various situations, especially at night. To stop Alexa from whispering back, you can ask her directly to turn off the feature.

The mode can sometimes trigger unexpectedly if Alexa mishears commands due to background noise, such as when the TV is on, giving the impression that she is "haunted" by some quirky, ASMR-influenced spirit. However, if you want to use this feature effectively, whispering first activates it. Users can enable or disable whisper mode through the Alexa app by navigating to the settings under "Voice Responses."

While this feature has practical applications, some find it a bit eerie, as Alexa’s whispered responses possess a lower pitch and volume. However, the voice assistant retains its capacity to provide information without causing disturbances, addressing user preferences for a quieter interaction. To activate whisper mode, simply say, "Alexa, turn on whisper mode," and she will confirm its activation. Overall, the feature underscores how voice technology can blend functionality with human-like interaction.

Why Does Wyatt Have A Firefly Fun House

Why Does Wyatt Have A Firefly Fun House?

Bray Wyatt employs the Firefly Fun House as a tool for brainwashing children and disseminating his sinister messages to a younger audience. The Fun House features whimsical characters and games that cleverly mask his true intentions. Initially, WWE struggled to provide creative direction for Wyatt's character. The evolution of the color palette from episode to episode was noteworthy, exemplified by the surprising appearance of Vince McMahon, who joined Wyatt for a dance.

At the 2017 Payback event, Wyatt faced Randy Orton in the underwhelming House of Horrors Match, contrasting sharply with the innovative Firefly Fun House segment that emerged later. Following WrestleMania 36, the Firefly Fun House match between John Cena and "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt garnered praise for its unconventional storytelling approach. Wyatt returned with another segment, showcasing his artistic talents, further exploring his character’s psyche and the origins of the Fun House inhabitants.

Orton's defeat of Wyatt at WrestleMania symbolized a deeper psychological attack, undermining Bray's confidence by destroying Abigail’s grave. The Fun House represents a compartmentalized space within Wyatt’s mind, storing only his cheerful memories, while the puppet friends, like Abby the Witch, provide companionship. Ultimately, the Firefly Fun House serves as both a façade and a battleground for Wyatt's psychological struggles.

How Many Firefly Funhouse Matches Were There?

The Firefly Funhouse Match was a unique match type featured in the WSC, taking place in the enigmatic Firefly Funhouse, where The Fiend/Bray Wyatt preyed on his opponent's fears the moment the door was shut. This occurred on two occasions in 2020, with its most notable instance being at WWE WrestleMania 36, when Bray Wyatt faced John Cena in a cinematic spectacle that has left a lasting impact on wrestling fans.

Initially promoted as a standard wrestling match, it evolved into a surreal encounter that Cena described as a "public look in the mirror." The match is often remembered for its psychological depth, showcasing Cena confronting his shadow self, akin to aspects of Jungian psychology.

In December 2020, Randy Orton defeated Wyatt in a Firefly Inferno Match, leading to The Fiend's disappearance from television. The match at WrestleMania 36 is celebrated for its artistic approach, diverging from traditional wrestling narratives, which polarized fans; some loved it while others criticized it. The Firefly Funhouse Match served as co-main event and became an iconic piece of WWE history during the pandemic era, akin to the earlier Boneyard Match featuring The Undertaker.

John Cena later revealed that the intention behind the Firefly Funhouse Match was to delve into psychological themes, making it a noteworthy and bizarre performance rather than a conventional match. Its lasting influence continues to resonate with fans, cementing its status as one of WWE's most unconventional and memorable encounters. Overall, the Firefly Funhouse Match exemplified a bold and subversive approach to storytelling in wrestling.

  • I grew up with Bray. He was such a fun guy to be around. Loved his hometown. I saw him not too long before he passed. Very humble and family man. He went to a normal public school and never forgot where he came from. He is sorely missed by our small community in Brooksville, Florida. Rip my friend Windham. It’s truly heartwarming to see how many lives he touched. His family and friends need the positive vibes.

  • I miss him every time I turn on Raw or Smackdown, every time I see the Wyatt Sicks, every time I see my Fiend action figure on the shelf, every time I play 2k24 and see the variants of him. The feeling of emptiness that he’s gone is something I can’t describe, all I can know is that I miss him very dearly and his creative genius was always an inspiration to me the moment I was reintroduced to wrestling five years ago.

  • I knew it. I told everyone who doubted that Bray was lying when he said the Fiend was dead. The fact that the Fiend was still showing up on screen in his promos and Uncle Howdy telling everyone that Bray was a Liar was a dead giveaway. Man, I’m heartbroken that the world of fans will never see this in action. Bray was truly special. God I miss him. It should’ve been him taking the belt off Roman last night. RIP Windham.

  • I watched the full documentary and its absolutely heartbreaking to see this beautiful soul taken from us so early. Bray was truly a creative genius and The Fiend was definitely his masterpiece. I wish I could relive that experience perusal The Fiend at Summerslam for the first time. Rest easy Windham. You are truly missed.

  • Watched the documentary this afternoon. Man, i miss seeing him in the WWE universe, gotta feel for that whole family. 36… sheesh, puts life into perspective. Wonderfully creative guy with a big heart. His creativity far exceeded the ring. That last iteration of the Fiend mask… Yowwy Wowie! Been perusal wrestling for 30 years, (Now 43) and have never seen anything as captivating as this guy… We will never get to see just how far this guy could have gone… RIP Windham ⭕️ Thoughts and prays to the fam!

  • It was just revealed that this version of The Fiend will be added to WWE 2K24 on the 16th this month, and that he will also be holding the new lantern during his entrance as well. There is a possibility that this new Fiend will be a persona card in MyFaction, which would be disappointing if true, but for right now, it doesnt seem like it will be. It could either be an extra DLC, or they could just put him in the game for free. They’ve done that before when they added “Michin” Mia Yim and Candice Lerae to 2K23 as free characters.

  • Imma be real, if Bray Wyatt didnt wrestle idk if I would’ve been as bif of a wrestling fan as I am today. I was always a fan of wrestling but shortly after 2011 I kinda just stopped perusal regularly and would only check on Mania from then on. But 2014 Mania season came around, and I saw the Wyatt family, I was instantly pulled in and wanted to watch these guys every time they were on tv. I would always want to watch Wyatt no matter what the segment/rivalry was. I watched him win the title and was so incredibly happy. And then years later when the Fiend came out, I watched his first entrance on repeat when it first came out. The man was such a creative genius. Becoming the wrestling fan I am now, is all due to Wyatt.

  • 🥺🥺🥺 this is insanely a wicked cool version of the fiend more terrifying then ever maaaan if only he were still alive dude like WTF why did you take him so early god he was just getting started and in his prime now all we have to think about is what IFs forever R.I.P Bray you are truly missed and one of a kind crazy creative with your character you have inspired me to write horror stories now

  • I would have loved to meet Bray one day to just say “Thank you”. Thank you for making me want to watch wrestling again thanks to his incredible character The Fiend. I never believed in the “death” of The Fiend, he was a character with so much charisma and a hell of a story to tell with Alexa Bliss who in her badass role was so good. I hope his brother picks this up, even though apparently the plan is to bring back Uncle Howdy, they will find the story to bring him back and use the new version of The Fiend even more badass and more terrifying. Rest in peace Windham, we will never forget you.

  • One of the greatest minds in all of wrestling, from the Wyatt Family to The Fiend. If this was what he had planned for his scheduled return then I know it would’ve been absolutely insane. I would love it if WWE with approval from his family to have this version of The Fiend added either to 2k24 as a tribute to Wyndham Rotunda or at least available in 2k25. I wonder if he’ll be the HOF inductee that will headline this year’s Hall of Fame.

  • I haven’t been a hardcore fan of any singular wrestler since I was like 16 (I thought Roman was great back then…). But this dude: I sure was! I never got to get to talk a single word to the man, but when he came back to WWE in 2022, I remember perusal his SmackDown promo, crying because of how touching it was. And when the WWE had their tribute show to him and Terry, I cried because my heart as a wrestling fan lost a piece of it forever that day. R.I.P Windham, you’ll forever be missed man

  • Bray Wyatt the man he’s a legend he’s a father and he is a beautiful wife beautiful children and nothing can take that away from him look at that outfit that should be perfect for him when did his brother says he’s going to carry on his legacy I hope he carries on his family’s legacy and everything he knows God rest her soul Bray Wyatt and you too Terry but I know you love her name is Bo Dallas but I hope you carry on just like to see Terry

  • Oh so THAT’S when he came back in almost 5 years ago. Remember in WWE SummerSlam 2017 when Finn “Fergal” transformed into “The Demon” and beat Bray? That was the opposite! AND! In 2019, Bray transformed into his alter-ego “The Fiend” and beat Finn “Fergal”. Although everybody and I thought it was an “Halloween” match between Finn “The Demon” vs Bray “The Fiend”, but it’d said the other match was cancelled, not scrapped.

  • Bray may not be the one inside that variation of his darker self, but, man. This’ll always break me down emotionally from now, until the end of time for me. Because something like this, just cannot be imagined, described, nor even replicated into words, let alone a simple sentence. Because this is like someone literally leaving you behind with a curse of infinite nightmares. Only these nightmares you can enjoy, because HE maid them enjoyable to begin with, because of all of the heart, soul, joy, fun, and passion into making these nightmares the way WE wanted them to be for us! God Bless You, Wyatt. God Bless You, Rotunda. We’ll always miss you. We’ll always love ‘ya! ‘Nuff said there, man. ‘Nuff Said. 😎😭

  • Love that gear love that suit I knew the thing was never gone truly I knew Bray was playing all of us thinking that he would never bring him back I never fell for that and I’m truly crying right now sad because we would have witnessed Bray becoming bigger than ever with this new generation this new upgraded more powerful version of the fiend scaring Superstars the WWE universe and people in the crowd

  • Rest in peace for bray wyatt Yourself amazing great special heart cherished love angel in heaven heart and perfect soul and yourself and your special heart cherished family friends as person who yourself are to themselves forever and always will be in there own life time forever and there love inside of themselves hearts forever and always as person who lives in them all always and forever All of your fans as well too 🌹🙏💖🙏🌹♥🌹

  • I have a theory about the Fiend. Bray Wyatt always carried a lantern around with him, what if the fiends energy was harnessed within the lantern? He always told you to RUN. But fun from what exactly? Whenever he got to the ring he blew the lantern out (maybe to prevent HIM from coming out) The fiend can be anyone, he was in control of brays mind and body, he can take over Bo mind and body too, if Bo Dallas has possession of the lantern, and he took special interest in the lantern during the documentary, the fiend can come back and use Bo as his avatar. Remember what bray used to say, “remember I’ll aways light the way (with the lantern), all you have to do, is LET HIM IN (the fiend) The lantern has now been lightened up by uncle howdy and the fiend has now been released. The “RUN” sounded very fiend-ish…. Things could be about to become interesting .
